The Pearson Corridor is home to a magnificent collection of stained glass panels, documenting the work of engineers S. Pearson & Son Ltd, 1844-1927. In Jabberwocky, Nicholas Kirk, with Amenity Space, quite literally reflected on this, and pondered what the world is like on the other side of a mirror.
Ranks of mirrors were strategically placed in the courtyard of the School of the Built Environment, Leeds Metropolitan University during Light Night to reflect the illuminated stained glass panels. As visitors moved through the installation, views of the stained glass panels were framed and light washed across the courtyard.
