Dream It Build It was an installation commissioned by the Southbank Centre to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Hayward Gallery. The work was used during workshops with local schools and community groups to educate and inform classes about building design, urban planning and The Southbank Centre.

The installation comprised a number of soft building blocks that, when organised in a particular way, created 1:25 scale replicas of the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Hayward Gallery. Each block contained an electronic tag that revealed film footage about the area when moved into the correct position within the model.

Groups were encouraged to arrange the blocks to create their own magical structures and buildings which allowed participants to develop ideas about spatial arrangements and architectural forms.
