The Sonic Shed Project
Portobello Space and Yorkshire Sculpture Park were linked by the 'Sonic Sheds' which aurally transported visitors across the country.
The Sonic Shed Project consisted of two modified sheds place at opposite ends of the country that communicated to each other through sound. Each shed was able to record live sound from one location for playback in an alternate shed located elsewhere in the country. By transposing the sounds of one event to another the sites were linked, connecting the participant with another space and other listeners.
